We Are Prides

The last night I woke up
you lay there on the Couch
With round Drowsy eyes
Sleeping over the book, you slouch

I went for a Cuddle
Amidst the winds
To the warmth of your arms
And love of a kind.

We dreamt on the daybed
Of the moments infinite,
The checklist of the years
And our dances at the Pride.

Life isn’t far
From the path of our freedom
The lights of the hope
Are not yet forbidden.

We would kiss by honor
Down the streets with delight
And the bands of the VIBGYOR
Would be our spotlight!

We would be our love
And be the way we feel
You and Me will someday become
Mothers to our little

The sun awakens from the
Land of our rainbows
To the esoteric identities
We smile but also scream and howl.
