A story told About a lady,
Desired by every man.
Rich offered her gold,
Poor offered her their souls,
But sadly, she was not interested in these materialistic show.
All she craved for, was a laugh.
“Make me laugh”, she proclaimed
“And I will be yours.”
Simple as it seems,
Was obviously not an easy task.
The suitors tried their luck,
Experienced with their standard tested compliments,
Introverts with their inconsistent jokes.
The town was filled with laughter,
But our lady was still silent.
“You are heartless”, shouted a suitor
As he gave up on his thirst
A kid born with a silver spoon,
Was not prepared for a loss.
Many suitors came,
None succeeded.
But like every other story
Love was meant to be completed.
Then came a young woman,
As common as a sunrise,
Brown face, curly hair, black eyes.
She looked in our lady’s eyes
And smiled.
Our lady smiled back. The two burst into laughter.
