I haven’t been more fascinated by someone so early in my life except this guy, who is no more with us now; The Flying Sikh of India, Milkha Singh.
I remember watching ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ on television and I couldn’t help but to re-watch it several times after that. I typed Milkha Singh on the internet and read anything and everything about him.

I was so inspired that I even told my mother that I will someday represent India in Olympics as a sprinter and I started running after that. I used to wake-up real early and went for a run and try to imitate the exercises that Farhan Akhtar did in that movie. That was a short term excitement phase that slowly ran down but the idea never went away.
Between competing and finishing there are lot of things that determine whether you are going to win or not. But to give out your best should be the motive in doing anything.
I will not stretch this by narrating how I was inspired by him in every part of my life but he was certainly a person who taught us that winning never comes cheaply, we have to pay a big price.
