I want to imagine if I was not among the group of students that sit at the back of the class and spend time talking about football and movies.
I want to imagine if I was not one of those students that wait for teachers to lie or make mistakes so that they can cover their mouths and laugh.
I want to imagine if I was not one of those students that wait on the way after school to warn the bright students that ask too many questions during lessons and make the closing hour long.
I want to imagine if I was not among those students that break bound to play FIFA or watch football.
I want to imagine if I was not one of those that go to the Library to make noise and disturb the good students that go there to read.
I want to imagine if I was not one of those students who follow the class monitor to his house to warn him for writing their names on the list of noise makers even though they created the worst disturbance in class.
I want to imagine if I was not one of those students that use the money they collected for textbooks from their parents to buy gifts for their girlfriends.
I want to imagine if I was not one of those students that pay more attention to the beautiful girls in class than what the teacher explains during the lesson.
I want to imagine if I was not one of those students that throw away their bags after school and suffer looking for it the next day.
I want to imagine if I was not one of those students that sit comfortably at home without even washing their clothes after school has resumed for weeks.
I want to imagine if I was not among the set of students that jump through the window during maths and physics classes.
I want to imagine if I was not among the set of students that loved only civic education class because the teacher was a lady.
I want to imagine if I was not among the group of students that wish all teachers will keep boycotting classes and school will keep going on holiday.
I want to imagine if I was not one of those students that enter the exam hall with chips or copy from the brilliant students that take their time to read.
I want to imagine if I was not one of those students that submit empty scripts in all SS three exams because they have escaped repeat.
I want to imagine if I did not prefer the award for the best dresser than that of the best student.
I want to imagine if I had studied more, and didn’t view students that bone up on their books as Jacks.

? well written Nasir?. I’ll tell you something the good students also regret not troubling their school days?
Imagination is what keeps us going…but it is also the thing that kills our dreams and aspirations. BTW good poem..
